The Chakras

​Get to know your body’s seven key energy centres, the chakras. During this six-week course we will explore how to activate and amplify our chakras and investigate how harnessing this energy can add to our personal and spiritual growth.

The Chakra system comes from many ancient traditions, including yogic lineages and this technology has facilitated expansion and shifts in many people’s lives. When certain asanas and techniques are used to awaken a certain chakra, the qualities of that charka are enhanced and this can shift how you feel, how you act and the way you show up in this world. Working with particular chakras can bring an increase in confidence, love, creativity and intuition.

In this course you will gain an understanding of each chakra. With a weekly lecture on one of the chakras, learning the essential qualities of that specific energy centre, their effect on your physical, energetic, emotional and mental wellbeing. Then you’ll be guided through a physical practice, highlighting yoga asana (poses), pranayama, mudra and mantra that activate and amplify the power of that chosen chakra. Understand how you can tailor your practice to release blockages, cultivate balance, and support your body to open up both physically and energetically.

Once knowing the qualities of the chakras and the asanas that activate them, you will have specific tools to add to your yogic practice and the ability to use this ancient knowledge in practical ways to grow and expand yourself and your life.
